This pattern is a translation of one found in the Danish book "Fuldstændig Strikkeskole", published by Carl Allers Forlag og Tryk, Copenhagen 1877.

ABBREVIATIONS:

K= knit
K2TOG = knit 2 together
P = purl
SL = slip
YO = yarn over

K1, P1 in the double YO's.

Cast on 13 stitches.

Row 1: SL1, K1, K2TOG, YO twice, K2TOG, K7.

Row 2: SL1, K to end of row.

Row 3: SL1, K to end of row.

Row 4: SL1, K1, (YO twice, K1) 4 times, K1, K2TOG, YO twice, K2TOG, K2.

Row 5 and 6: SL1, K to end of row.

Row 7: SL1, K1, K2TOG, YO twice, K2TOG, K15.

Row 8 and 9: SL1, K to end of row.

Row 10: SL1, K11, YO 3 times, K3, K2TOG, YO twice, K2TOG, K2.

Row 11: SL1, K11 (including the K1, P1, K1 in the triple YO), remaining 12 stitches are cast off thus: place yarn over left hand needle and draw stitches over yarn, one by one. K the stitch just formed.

Row 12: SL1, K to end of row.

Repeat rows 1 - 12.
