K= knit
K2TOG = knit 2 together
P = purl
P2TOG = purl 2 together
SL = slip
YO = yarn over
Cast on a multiple of 20 stitches.
Row 1: P
Row 2: K
Row 3: SL1, * YO, K4, K2TOG, K6, K2TOG, K4, YO, P2. Repeat from * to end of row, ending with K1 instead of P2.
Row 4: SL1, * K1, YO, P4, (P2TOG, P4) 2 times, YO, P1, K2. Repeat from * to end of row, ending with P1 instead of K2.
Row 5: SL1, * K2, YO, K4, K2TOG, K2, K2TOG, K4, YO, K2, P2. Repeat from * to end of row, ending with K1 instead of P2.
Row 6: SL1, * P3, YO, P4, P2TOG twice, P4, YO, P3, K2. Repeat from * to end of row, ending with P1 instead of K2.
Repeat rows 3-5 4 times, then 2 rows purl and 1 row knit. Cast off.
